New President!

Family and Friends,

This week was a little bit depressing.

We´ve been teaching Joselin (16), and she has been an investigator of Gold! She knows the church is true, and accepted a baptismal date. Everything was going great, but then she told us that she had to travel to Cusco to study (2 hours in bus). She promised us that she would return every weekend, and continue learning and attend church. So, yesterday we stopped by her house, to bring her to Church, and her Dad answered the door. We asked if Joselin was there and he said (in Spanish of course).

"She´s not here. She´s in Cusco studying because she has to actually do something productive with her life."

After this he gave us a dirty look and shut the door. This was really hard for me. When he said "she has to actually do something productive with her life" it was obvious that he was inferring that we as missionaries weren't doing anything with our lives, and that we are wasting our time.

We have a new Mission President. He is amazing! His name is President Harbertson (Gringo). The entire Zone of Sicuani went and met him and his wife in Cusco on Tuesday. He is pretty amazing! His wife speaks absolutely no Spanish, but she is super nice and has a big heart. She is excited to learn Spanish :). I´m excited for the change of mission president because I think that a lot of things in the mission are going to change for the better. He said in the meeting:

"President Calderón was a great president. But I´m not President Calderón. There are going to be a lot of changes in the mission. Some of you are going to like them, and some of you won´t. But things will change, and we are all going to grow and change together."

I am really excited. I think that the Perú, Cusco Mission has a lot of potential, and that change is needed. I am excited to see what happens.

I love you all!!
